My Favorite Travel Mug EVER — A Game Changer!
I travel constantly for work, so having my drinks stay hot is non-negotiable. I’ve tried so many heated mugs before, but the VSITOO S3 Plus has honestly been the BEST experience I’ve had — especially as someone who lives on coffee during flights, airports, and long overnights.The temperature control is amazing.It keeps my coffee at the exact heat I want (I personally love it on HOT), and it stays consistent the whole time. No more sipping lukewarm coffee halfway through boarding or during a long gate hold. Great value!
Great value and simple to use. Like the auto on/off feature and recall of last temperature setting. Not sure why anyone would pay twice as much for another brand. Only downside is that you had to write to customer service to enable permanent auto features.

Works but has problems
This cup actually works…as does the app. I’ve used it 4 times. Read on for the reason for the 2 star review and why I’m returning it. The product description says it’s stainless steel. The outside of the mug is plastic. The inside, where your drink makes contact appears to be a plastic coated cylinder of possibly stainless steel but the bottom is simply plastic. The instructions warn you about scratching the black lining. Why line stainless steel? Tap it with a spoon and let your ears decide. The second problem is the lid fitment and function. The circumference of the lid is smaller than that of the black plastic inner lining of the mug. When you take a sip, you leave a drop of the beverage behind and it runs down the side of the mug and drips onto your clothing. I didn’t notice this the first time I used it (I was driving a car) and by the time I noticed, I’d ruined a dress shirt with black coffee. On the 3 subsequent uses, I’ve tried everything to avoid this but it’s unavoidable. Lastly, the closure of the lid is very difficult to operate. It snaps down to lock and DOES prevent spills but unsnapping it without removing the lid (either intentionally or accidentally) is practically impossible with one hand (and is difficult with two). The mug is a good idea, but poorly executed. Using this while driving is more dangerous than texting.

Poor user experience and no customer support
I know this is half the price of the Ember mug, but ultimately you get what you pay for. There are several issues with this product. Number one, the app user experience is extremely poor. It constantly disconnects from your mug, which means you have to re-pair the mug with your app every single time. There’s no user manual in the app, so I don’t even know how to pair it sometimes; it’s hit or miss. I think you just press the button for two seconds or something, but the Bluetooth connection is very inconsistent. Number two, the battery lasts less than two hours at 145°F – more like 1.5 hours, so you’re only getting about 30 more minutes compared to the Ember mug. Additionally, the app doesn’t allow you to preset the temperature; every time you close the app, it defaults back to the manufacturer’s preset. The charger plate is quite big compared to the Ember mug too – kind of bulky. I will be returning this mug. I am very disappointed. Yes, it is half the price of the Ember mug, but I would gladly pay more for a more premium feel, a better app, and a more consistent user experience. I did reach out to their customer support multiple times – they’ve asked for my device and order info., then disappeared – and did not provide any assistance with the issues.The frustration with this mug and the app is not worth saving $50 over the Ember mug.

I had previously had an Ember mug and when that one stopped working (3 years old and about 6 cups of tea a day so I think it did well) I was in the market for a new heated mug. I wanted reliability, temperature control (I like my tea steaming not just ‘warm’) and I wanted something easy to clean. A downside of the Ember mug I had was the metal interior. It just got permanently stained and if I scrubbed it I felt that I was doing damage to the metal. I saw the Vsitoo and the price, colour, size and temperature capabilities were everything I wanted.I love it. Pure and simple. I had an issue with the charging base where it stopped working and I reached out to their customer support. They were prompt, friendly and said they would replace it for me ASAP.This cup ticks all my boxes and I look forward to many years and many more cups of tea in it!
