Easy to install and super fun for the gamer in your life.
Bought these for our son for Christmas. He has a game room and hung these on his wall. Super easy to install. You can be creative in how you hang them. Very colorful and bright. If you are looking to ad some fun to your room these are the answer.

We are a fan of the Twinkly product line and decided to invest in the squares. We have this product outside on our covered porch. Love it! We have gotten a ton of compliments on it and it is super bright. Well worth the investment. We did buy two units complete to create this rather than additional panels. As an add bonus, we have a second master panel and two more panels to use elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY! After over 3 weeks working with customer service, it still does not work.
This is a good idea, but that is about where it ends. DO NOT BUY THIS.Also BE WARNED that the starter kit gives you 6 tiles or a 3×2 grid, which is pretty sad. To get to the 4×4 grid that they show is a stupid process. First, you buy another extension to get to 3×3 and while okay, all of the built in gallery art that is interesting is for a bigger square. Now, you find yourself buying 2 more extensions for a 4×4 but missing a tile – yes just 15 tiles. Your options? buy another extension pack for just 1 tile and have 2 “extras”, or get another Master.I spent now 3 weeks working with customer service, who is very responsive so high marks for that. After this time, I can still not get the 4×4 tiles to work. It really is a piece of crap and sadly I am past my return window. So now I am stuck continuing to work with customer to debug.This is stupid marketing on a technology that thinks it is smart, and mostly works until you get into wanting a 4×4 grid.I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

Good product, but be aware of a few things:
It would’ve been a 5 stars review but some things happened in the way:I bought the started pack along with 3 expansion packs to create a panel for my gaming setup. When I put them all together and hung them in the wall, one of the squares started flickering and turned out it was faulty. My happiness lasted 30mins.I had to dismount the panel (which was taped to the wall and it got all scratched) and some of the clips broke. They are very fragile, so be careful while setting the squares up.I was disappointed at that moment, I decided to contact customer service right away and they were so responsive and nice about the issue 👌🏽👌🏽 they sent me a new expansion pack as a replacement, I install the new square and I was finally able to enjoy my panel.Although the images and effects don’t look exactly as the advertisement, they are very bright and can be personalized as you like. The gallery has many effects and you can also create your own.It can be connected to Lightlink for light shows (main reason I bought it) and also to Razer Chroma, but be aware with this last part: the Twinkly connector to Razer chroma is very glitchy and it disconnects frequently out of the blue, which is very frustrating when you are trying to create immersive environment for gaming. Also you need to have the Twinkly connector app open all the time so it can work with Razer chroma, is not like it’s integrated within the chroma studio after installing it.I also got the twinkly music device and it works good after setting it up and it connected to the squares automatically as well as my other twinkly devices.

Fun product, but not really worth the asking price
I bought this LED Matrix Light kit to go with my PC Gaming room set up, because it supports syncing with Razor Chroma and SignalRGB lighting systems. Setting up the device panels was fairly simple enough even though I haven’t mounted the lights on my walls yet, the manual doesn’t really give any good guidance on how to do it. It just gives a paper blueprint that you’re supposed to use as a guide for drilling screws or hammering nails into the wall.The quality of the lights are… okay. They are very bright and vibrant but there is some noticeable color bleeding with dark and light colors are together. The biggest issue I have with the set is the use of animated gifs or even just large images in general. With the starter kit, if you set it up into a rectangle, you will get an image quality of 24 by 16, which isn’t very good for displaying images that look decipherable. This will require you to purchase more “extension kits” that need to be combined in order to support better looking images, and with each extension kit being around $100 a pop, it’s really hard to justify going all in on this product just for better looking pixel images. It also doesn’t help that the app software doesn’t have much functionality, other than premade images, a paint tool, the option to import from giphy or uploading your own gifs, which doesn’t matter much because 90% of the images you try to import onto the panels will look terrible unless you have many extra panels to make the image look clear.I’d say if you can find this product and the extension kit on a steep discount, or if you just have deep pockets, I’d say go for it, otherwise I would personally just recommend something like the Divoom Pixel 64 instead.

Nice expansion kit, works with an existing squares controller. Note that each controller tile can manage up to 15 extension panels, like these. There are three extension panels on this kit (No controller).

If you run with just the basic starter pack (6 squares) any image or GIF is so pixelated to the point of being barely recognisable. You’ll need 12+ squares to see pictures with any sort or clarity. Basic patterns and colours are ok on smaller sets….but you’ll be forking out a decent wad of cash if you want a better quality image like the 16 squares shown in the video. Super easy to assemble, can upload your own GIFs & pictures, has a on/off timer function and mounts on a wall pretty easily. Pretty good quality…but you’re definitely paying for it. There’s a little bit of deceptive marketing by Twinkly as they only sell expansions in sets of three….so if you want a square picture, as opposed to a rectangle, you’ll find yourself with 1 or two “surplus” squares. Maximum amount of squares you can run off one powered square is 15 (not inc the powered square which makes 16 in total).

Leider macht das ganze nur Sinn wenn man min 12 Stück hat um ein gut erkennbares Bild ergibt.Aber haste erst mal 15 Stück is das eine Lichorgel wo sich jeder einzelne der Quatratpunk ansteuern läßt.Für die Genieser gibst auch viele vorgefertigte Muster und Bild Animazionen.

Bought this for my 10 year old. We absolutely love it. The customization nature of the product involves a little bit of patience. However, the set up, which involves downloading an app and following basic instructions was a smooth process. Once we configured the panels the way we wanted, we were up and running and having fun with this product. The app is easy, responsive and intuitive. Looking forward to expanding our display by adding more panels in the future.
