Great cup
So far, this is an almost perfect cup. Easy to use, no complicated directions. Press the button, it goes on. Set the temperature, done. Auto off or press the button again. Perfect temperature for me. Great size. Holds my coffee, creamer and cold foam, if I’m in the mood. My only critique is that the handle is thin and not very comfortable to hold, especially with arthritic hands. Well worth the price. I do not use the app. You don’t need it.

Fancy Cup, But App’s a Bit Buggy
Grabbed this for my long office days, tired of lukewarm coffee by 10am. Gotta say, it’s pretty slick. Keeps my brew hot for hours, no more microwave runs. The touch controls are handy, easy to adjust temp on the fly. Battery life’s decent, lasted most of my workday. That sliding lid’s great for commutes, no more spills in the car. Now, the app’s a bit finicky. Sometimes it won’t connect, had to restart my phone a few times. It’s bigger than a regular mug, might not fit in some cup holders. One quirk – the ceramic inside can stain if you leave coffee sitting too long. And heads up, it’s heavy when full, might be tough for folks with wrist issues. If you’re a slow sipper or work long hours, this could be worth checking out. Just maybe stick to the manual controls if you’re not tech-savvy. It’s definitely improved my coffee routine, no more cold surprises mid-morning. Cool gadget for coffee lovers, but don’t expect perfection from the smart features.

This is my fourth electric mug purchase in my ongoing pursuit of perfection in this category. I take my coffee drinking very seriously – I roast my own beans and I have honed my espresso skills to a fine art. When I make my mug of morning coffee I want it to be hot, very hot from start to finish. I had my very 1st cup of coffee in the summer of 1976 when I got a summer intern job at Hewlett-Packard, they poured it from the engineering coffee pot and in my nervousness didn’t realize how hot it was and it burned my tongue, took three days for it to come back to normal. But interestingly ever since then I’ve always desired very hot coffee. this mug caught My eye firstly because of the form factor, I hate short fat mugs, they are hard to grasp and they let all the heat out of the open top and this one had a much skinnier taller profile, was double wall insulated and of course electrically heated. It didn’t have very many reviews so I was a bit apprehensive at spending so much money but of course Amazon has a good return policy so there really wasn’t much of a risk. Now this has become one of my favorite mugs especially because it holds a legitimate 18 ounces of coffee, realistically 16 to keep it below the rim. In combination with its insulated walls, the heating element keeps the coffee at a very good 145 to 147° from start to finish which is better than the 145° or less for the Ember, Which was my very first electric mug a year or two ago. The quality is top notch, it fits into cupholders which the short fat mugs don’t. I haven’t run an exhaustive test on the duration of how long it will keep a mug of coffee hot, but in my many weeks of usage now the battery has barely budged during my normal consumption time of 1/2 to one hour for a large mug of coffee. Watch my video review for more quantitative details than you probably would ever want to know, but being an engineer that’s just the way I’m wired!

Disappointed- Less than a year and now it won’t keep coffee hot.
I’ve used the heated coffee mug, green, now since last Christmas. It’s worked great until this month. Now it will not continue keeping my coffee hot. The battery must be defective or not have a long life. Up until now it would keep there coffee hot 2+ hours. Today it cut out after 20 minutes and would not maintain the desired heat. I keep it changed every day. Also, I’ve never been able to get the app to connect. Disappointed.
