My Pet Ate MouseX. What Should I do?

Our product is completely poison free, making it safe for use around all people, pets, and wildlife. It is only lethal to rats, mice, and voles, as the product targets a unique characteristic within their digestive tract. Do not induce vomiting.

Why Does MouseX Kill Rodents – Rats & Mice – and Not Harm Humans and Other Animals?

Because all rodents have a digestive system that is different from other animals. The way rodents absorb water through their lower gut is quite different to any other animals, including humans and birds.

Is MouseX Harmful to Wildlife?

No, MouseX is safe for all wildlife. MouseX is also safe for birds of prey as there is no risk of secondary kill.

Wear rubber gloves or they may not work.
I have cats. I was overrun this year by field mice. They are very cunning at what they do and they are also viscous in nature. Different traps would work for maybe one rounds. I think I figured out one major reason. They have an unbelievable sense of smell. If they smell a mouse cadaver or a human they will avoid the traps. They seem to really like this bait and for a while stopped working. In my research I realized the importance of wearing rubber gloves when you handle the packs – presumably to avoid getting human scent on them. They are non-toxic so I cannot see any other reason. Anyway since I started wearing rubber gloves they are working well for what mice I have left.

    Not an effective product
Expected the pellets to work, but the mice and rats would not bite the pellets. They would eat the peanut butter off the pellets that I used to attract them to the pellets, but they did not eat the pellets . I started crushing the pellets with an hammer and putting the smashed pieces in peanut balls. They ate those, but I still had to use the peanut butter pellet balls to attract them to a sticky trap where they could get caught. The product is too hard for the rats to chew and doesn’t have enough agent to kill effectively even when eaten.

    Didn’t work for me/Update
I have a tiny studio apartment and since my cats died mice are everywhere. This product did not help not one bit. They are definitely eating it but they are plump and running all around. I saw no improvement at all with this product.1/26/23 UPDATE ~ After several weeks I have stopped seeing mice. There are signs that I still have some around but the decrease in droppings indicate that this product is working. They ate it all so I ordered more today. 2/2/23 Ulitmately it really did not work. An exterminator gave me the green stuff and that did the job

    RATS EAT CARS
I lived in a retirement home (now closed) and my parking space was near my apartment, also near the dump site for our home. In the winter the local rats decided to make homes in the nearest vehicles. They go for the warmest area (recently parked cars with warm engines) and make themselves at home complete with leaves for bedding. For food they chew up the wiring so all the lights on my dashboard came on whenever I started the engine and would not go off. I took it into the BUICK dealer, and it stayed a few days for repair at the cost of $625. I asked the home owning corporation for reimbursement, but they said no because the rats did not belong to them. My best friend had an older KIA which cost him $1200 to redo the wiring as wiring harness were not made for his older model car. It cost him $200 to have the rat homes and feces cleaned out before the KIA dealer would even work on it plus another $100 to clean up the inside of the car after sitting for months. I put the rat packs under the engine near the front wheels where the rats would climb in an no more rats’ nests in my engine. I have since moved since the dilapidated retirement home was closed down as a fire trap with old, bad electrical wiring and contaminated drinking water. Good riddance. The rat packs do the job, very cost effective.

Mouse got into it before I even put it out
Can’t speak to the lethality of it, but it definitely attracts them. I bought these for a seasonal office and apartment that get little use in the winter. Stopped by and dropped them off and left the box on the counter and planned to put them out later the next week. Well, I never got the chance. When I came back, as you can see in the picture the mouse got to it before I could put it out. He was actually in the box munching away when I took the picture.

    MIGHT WORK FOR YOU
So far the mice have not taken the bait on this one. Even though we placed the bags as instructed in areas we know they are likely to nest. So I don’t know. My hunch is that as poisons go, this is fine. On the other hand, the mice have to be enticed enough to chew through the wrapper. So far, that hasn’t happened. Whereas we have caught 8 mice with the glue trips. Currently we seem to be mouse free. Living in the country, the mice always seem to find their way in (even to my car). I hate to kill them – the glue traps have caught the most mice (but it’s a gruesome way to die).
