It steam great! It also cleans the floors remove sticky items and old build ups. You do not have to add any chemical plain water will work unless you just want to put chemical product into it. It gives a fresh clean scent and it’s every light weight! You can ever steam your carpet it has a guard to slide over carpet.

Good steam mop
Kenmore 2 in 1 steam mop. I have owned a few steam mops which I would consider quality products. This mop is right up there. I mainly use it as a mop. It’s lightweight, versatile and gets the job done. It comes with whatever attachments you would need; jet, fan, scrub brush carpet slide and two pads. It can be used as a standup mop or handheld unit. It also has a decent warranty.Where this unit falls short, pun intended, is it’s cord length. I think its only around 13’. Not the end of the world and most similar products have the same issue. The other issue I have with this unit is that I question its disinfecting prowess when used as a mop. From what I understand, for a steam mop to be effective at disinfecting, it has to reach a temperature of 108° or better for a minimum of 8 seconds. I believe this unit gives off a steady cloud of steam at that temp but, when used as a mop the pads might hinder that. This is mainly due to the design. If you look at the bottom, there is only one jet where steam is omitted. Most units at this price point and below are designed like this, its just not limited to this unit. A better design would have multiple steam jets for more spread. For instance, a previous mop I owned had eleven jets.All in all this is a decent, well made steam mop by a well known company at an affordable price. I would recommend it unless you would like to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

Easy to use no brainer steamer vs traditional mop
I use this mop every week for quick house maintenance and my Thursday clean whole house day. The washable pads have stood up to so much abuse from my dirty floors making my floors clean and shiny. The weight is light enough to go from room to room with no issues. You can easily maneuver the mop around with one hand it’s so light.What I like most about it, the kenmore SM2050 2 in 1 hard floor steam mop is that it’s easier to use than a traditional mop. It’s cleaner to have around than a traditional mop. You don’t have to already have hot water the mop heats so fast on its own. What I do I plug in the red light comes on I don’t even wait 2 minutes the red light beeps I click the button and go. You can also hear the machine steam and that will indicate it’s ready to use as well.I spot check my floor for stubborn mess and spray cleaner then go over the spot with the kenmore. Works for me and it will work for you too I’m sure.

Adequate At Best
This thing does what it says it will do. It doesn’t do anything particularly well or even good for that matter. The accessory brushes are so small as to not require constant cleaning themselves before you can even finish cleaning the appliance (an air fryer in this case). The mop (primary) function is ok. I live in a 1200 sq ft duplex. The two pads it comes with are sufficient for a dusting of the floors if you use both. If there is any form of deep cleaning you got a problem.The pads also do not stick to the steam mop part very well. They will stay affixed to the mop but they will wiggle and move. The result is that there is really not an even application of steam or pressure on the pad as a dirty pad will show quickly. The pads are also very thin. I have often found myself wondering if I am actually cleaning or just spreading the mess around the floor because they are not especially absorbent. I would not use this as a mop. This is meant for spot cleaning at the most.

Very user friendly product. I wish the water container could be larger in the next design to reduce the frequency of refilling.
