    It’s clicky-clacky loud, but that’s OK
The transfer of the data is quick, but that’s kind of depending on what you’re doing and what cord is plugged in between your laptop and this hard drive.. I got a different cord that came with the hard drive that was able to transfer data a little quicker. However, I really like the drive. I was able to put16 external hard drives on it. And yes, it makes a lot of noise when it’s running, but I’m users to a noisy drive, considering I’m 63 and I’ve been using computer since the late 80s. Heck, besides being really noisy… Drives back in the olden days were something like $125 for 125 MB of space for your data. Well it’s not fast enough for games and things like that, however I found it very reliable and it fits on my desktop quite neatly.

Great External Hard Drive Storage for the Mac
I bought 2 of these for my 2020 iMac 27 inch. One is for my photos library and the other is strictly for running Time Machine. Probably way more storage than I needed, but am figuring that these external hard drives can grow with me + they were an excellent value at the price point. Down the road, I might add other files (apart from my system photo library), to one of them, but for now I have regained so much free space back on the Mac. Easy to format and use via Disk Utility. Might buy another at a later date for my music collection. RECOMMEND

Works great for PS5 extended storage!
Works well with the ps5. For the reviews that say it doesn’t work with ps5 games, they are misunderstanding how ps5 external storage works. You can transfer and play ps4 games to external drive. You can transfer but, not play ps5 games unless you transfer the game data back to console storage (which is much quicker than deleting and reinstalling the game again). It tells you this in the ps5’s systems, storage settings.I have had no issues with the drive transferring to and from. Also, I have not noticed any delays playing ps4 games from it. Just like having it in console storage. As far as some of the reviews saying it gets really hot, I have not noticed anything concerning about the temperature that is anything more than what I would consider slightly warm. I have been checking it often and after about a 6 hour session with black ops 4 it was nothing at all even close to concerning.Overall it is everything it is supposed to be and works well for ps5 extended storage.

    Love it!
Love it! Seagate makes good drives. This is good external drive. Lots of space and is USB 3.0. Speeds seem great and has worked flawlessly for several months now. Seems to run fairly cool as well. Would definitely buy again, especially for such a large external drive.

    Good for a NAS build…
The external hard drive enclosure is slightly bigger than the actual hard drive itself. In my experience it has an okay speed. Not the fastest drive that I’ve used. The USB port is a normal usb-a 3.0 port so no usb-c. The power source has multiple adapters for people who would use it for their travels so no matter what kind of power outlet it present you should be okay. The design of the external case has openings to vent the heat coming from the actual hard drive inside. In terms of security, the drive is held in my rubber pads within the external enclosure that are surrounded by plastic tabs that hold it in.The external hard drive is a good choice to use for a NAS build if you are comfortable shucking the external case. The price is competitive when compared to a normal NAS internal drive. If you choose to go that route bear in mind that shucking the drive comes at the risk of voiding the warranty. Overall it’s decent and has been running well on my NAS.The okay speed on the drive is the limiting factor which is why it’s 4 out of 5 stars.Lastly the actual enclosure itself will still run other old drives if the ribbon cable and board aren’t damaged during the shucking process. Any old 3.5 internal drives would work perfectly to recycle and not throw out the remaining hardware.

    PERFECT
As promised, Amazon delivered in “one” day. As advertised, this 22TB was plug and play for my Win11 PC. First job was to copy 3TB of photos from another hard drive. I’ve owned Seagate and WD external hard drives with no problems. However, the drive that just failed (one of the reasons I purchased this Seagate 22TB) was a WD Red 8TB NAS hard drive. Also, two years ago, another WD NAS Red hard drive failed. I’m through with NAS and do back ups now on only external hard drives.

What i like about this HDD is the stable transfer speed with power supply unlike other that are unstable transfer speed. Got few TB of data transferred at ease.Only thing that might be a down side is the sound created might be a nuisance but overall it works very well for my heavy data. Will be back if data exceed again!
