Great Remote Control Dimmer
This is a great product, one of my best Amazon finds!! I am super happy with this purchase!! The dimmer’s lifespan and performance have been flawless. It has been used for almost two years of outdoor daily usage with LED S14 Edison Lights (turned on at dusk, off at bedtime). It always maintains the preset dimmer level. The remote control is kept about 15 feet away inside the house and always works perfectly right through the glass patio doors, plus it doesn’t need to be pointed directly at the dimmer unit at this distance to function. I was a bit concerned about the IP44 rating (only resists water splashing) for outdoor usage, but I have the dimmer plug mounted in a location not directly exposed to rain, so this rating has not been an issue even in windy conditions where some rain or snow might be blown onto it. Has quality electronics, therefore no light flickering with the LED bulbs. Used it once with my neighbors incandescent Edison Lights to demonstrate the unit, and no light flickering with dimming those types of bulbs as well.

Works as designed, Simple remote
Works great! Very good product for the money spent. The dimming is very smooth with no “jumps” in brightness. There is a ramp up/ramp down when turning them on and off. When powered on, it returns to last setting(unless unplugged or power loss). I will be getting some more for some other projects. Simple remote, simple operation. Very well made! Also, you can link several of them to a single remote per the instructions.

Ease of use, quality of device
this is the best purchase I’ve made this year!! FABULOUS!!! works as expected and without a problem!! I was blinding my neighbors with my outdoor lights, and this device allows many dimming settings, plus I can cut on off from inside and utilize dimming. SOOO helpful!!!

Plug and Play dimmer with lots of options, but some quirks
This dimmer works great and offers many options for light output. I paired it with my LED string lights from Harbor Freight and it runs them with no issues. The only frustration is with how it handles power cycling. If I use the switch to turn the porch lights off, then flip it back on, the lights stay off until I use the remote. That part makes sense, but the bigger issue is that when I turn them on with the remote, they always start at the lowest setting. It takes 10–15 clicks to get back up to full brightness, which gets annoying. Overall, it does the job well, just be prepared for that quirk.

Nice, with a couple of caveats…
I have two strings of HB string lights that were too bright for our patio and deck (both on separate outlets, yet plug into the same timer). Bought two of these dimmers to control the brightness of the lights. First, the dimmers work great! I was able to tone the lights down to an eye pleasing ambience. I was somewhat disappointed that the remotes that come with the two dimmers only work with the dimmer they were shipped with. So, I need 2 remotes to control the lighting. The remotes have very good range. I’m able to control the lights from inside, through the glass.Secondly, it is another disappointment that the timer no longer turns the lights on. Once the timer turns to “on” I have to use the remotes to actually turn the strings on. Fortunately, the dimmers “remember” the setting I’ve chosen. The timer, of course, still turns the lights off at the programmed time.I’m sure I’ll get used to it, but it was a nice security feature for when we’re not home to have the deck lights come on. Now, it’s a sure sign of no one home when the lights are not on.

Purchased 3 months ago and stopped working today out of the blue. Remote doesn’t work anymore, and changing the battery does nothing. Would not recommend purchasing
