I Like it!I’ll come back and add the 5th star after I experience the drives longevity.Using it as media back-up. So far so good.I’m not getting anywhere near 1000Mbps.The fastest Write speeds I see are approx. 150Mbps which still feels relatively fast all things considered. -I was transferring from a Non-SSD external USB drive.Both this drive and the Non-SSD external were going through USB3.0 ports.NOT the optimal circumstance for copying to achieve the claimed Write speed.You have to realize the optimum speed the seller claims is only achievable under optimal conditions.’Your mileage may vary’It does get ‘hot’ during extended ‘Writing’ sessions but I haven’t felt it get too hot to touch/hold and the heat dissipates quickly. Popping the ‘cold’ cap that was set aside during use back on helps dissipate the heat.Read speeds ARE still almost (feel) instantaneous on a fast clean SSD-based Win10 system.This drive works well so far for USB port on ROKU TV to play all media using Roku media player.How can you not enjoy the magnetic caps – convenient and secure.May you always have the time to dismount your external drives gracefully! ;-)(’cause one of those times you don’t you’ll loose your data and maybe trash the drive entirely)

Okay I’m an IT consultant on vacation and I have a MacBook Pro and needed some extra space to play a PC based game running Bootcamp on a MacBook pro ordered this device and I have to say I’m impressed it’s fast! and not hot!to the DEV’s I would say it would be awesome if the cap could magnetically stick to the other end so the cap wouldn’t get lost or misplaced this is an awesome device, I like it a lot! Thank you… I don’t write reviews BTW!
