Waterproof Case
I got this for my vacation. I was expecting to swim, boat, raft, and fish in a variety of locations. I knew a phone camera was not ideal. This camera is user friendly, charges up fast, and comes with a waterproof case. The bottom of the case was easy to mount to get action shots. The display is large enough to check angles. The head rotates but must be adjusted before sealing in the waterproof case. Overall, I got get beach/ rapids/ ocean/ pool side action shots. I was able to mount the camera securely for wide shots without missing anything or worrying about the case losing it’s grip. Almost like having a photographer on vacation capturing memories.

Defective unit
We returned the unit. I used the product once, but before the battery was fully drained, it suddenly turned off. When I tried to charge it to full battery. After pressing the power button the initial Minolta logo and sound appear, but it automatically shuts off and does not power on again.

For me, this showed up way faster than I expected. The box came with all the accessories and hard shell carrying case. Stoked about this because some of the reviews I read were saying they didn’t get the accessories.So far it works okay. The swivel head works well. I guess the issues I have are a little hard to overlook.#1 the app straight up does not work. Not a huge problem for me (wasn’t really planing to stream w/it) but it is a bummer that you literally download the app and each time you open it, it says you can’t use it. It keeps telling me to change my location and then force quits. Just know the app is garbage.#2 the sound doesn’t sync properly while recording. Not sure if it’s user error, but when recording at 30 seconds every time the screen will go dark. It’s like a power saving mode I guess but apparently the camera is still recording. so I’ll click the center button just to wake the screen and that’s when I notice the sound sync will be behind by about 2-3 seconds for the rest of that clip. Super annoying. I’ve scoured the settings to change this and I’m not finding anything.Overall this is cute. showed up early with everything included but has some annoying issues, technically. Hopefully this is just user error and I can actually use this camera at some point but for now it kind of just a cute toy with lots of accessories.

Shake when walking, hold power on for 4 seconds. Not 3. Screen goes out after a short while touch power button.We’re screwing to come back on start recording but screen goes black. I bought my used. I definitely wouldn’t want to pay full Price.Handy little cam.

It’s not good.
Not good. For a young kid’s first camera it might be fine. For a camcorder you can stick in your pocket, I guess it’s fine. The 4K video quality is mediocre and the still photo quality is appalling, even for 16 megapixel. Stick with your phone, or buy something better for still imagery.

NOT an Osmo.
Took me a while to get this to work and I am a self-professed tech geek. Bought it as a cheaper version of the DJI Osmo. Figured it might be a little less but would do the job. Super hard to get the micro sd card to stay in, and when you do…good luck if it accepts it. The only one I got to work was the one that came with it (which is way too small) and only after I formatted it. The head does not move as the Osmo does. It will rotate with some clicks, but it’s solid and doesn’t move for stabilization. Any stabilization is built in. Only works with phone if you download the app, which is NOT user-friendly. Can’t return it now because I messed with it too long and I feel bad selling it to someone else so I’m stuck for $80. 🙁

Lamentable en menos de una semana la cámara dejó de funcionar ya no prende.la cámara viene con micrófono lavalier individual, su manual esta escrito en inglés pero es muy fácil de entender, toma muy buenos videos en 4k, sin embargo la resolución 1080p es deficiente en comparación a un smartphone gama media alta, trae varios accesorios, una carcasa para el agua, un clip, una cita de velcro, un soporte para carcasa, cable y cargador, se puede configurar en idioma español, la probé como web cam y me funciono perfecto con excelente calidad en comparación de la cámara web nativa de mi laptop, es un poco difícil conectar la cámara vía wifi para toma de fotos y videos con la app recomendada por el fabricante hay que desactivar el salva pantallas dejarla qué carge bien la batería y listo sin dificultad. La recomiedo como camara auxiliar y no como cámara principal, esta fabricada en plástico, su peso es muy ligero, fácil de transportar.
