I don’t write reviews often, but wow does this product deserve its 5 stars! It’s only meant for surface scuffs, but it did pretty amazing against the oopsie I had against a cement wall. It definitely doesn’t get it all out, but it removed a good chunk of the damage and made it look a little better. It was very easy to use and attach to my drill. I used it to get some other surface scratches I had around my car too and it took those out completely. I unfortunately didn’t take before photos of the little scuffs, but they’re 100% gone. I highly recommend this product.

This kit is a fantastic, convenient package that includes the powerful ScratchX compound, a drill-mounted pad, and a quality microfiber towel.The Good (Why it earns 4 stars):This kit is an absolute winner for removing surface blemishes, oxidation, and light clear coat imperfections like fine swirl marks. The ScratchX compound is surprisingly effective and easy to work with. The inclusion of the drill-mounted pad is the key feature here—it saves an immense amount of time and effort compared to working by hand, distributing the product evenly and providing the necessary mechanical agitation without the expense of a dedicated orbital polisher. For those annoying, shallow scratches, it removed about 90% of them quickly, restoring a fantastic depth and clarity to the paint.The Not Quite Perfect (Why not 5 stars):The main reason I can’t give this 5 stars is related to the “Quik” promise for anything beyond light scratches. If the scratch is deep enough to catch your fingernail, this kit requires a significant time commitment—you have to make multiple, slow, overlapping passes with consistent pressure. If you rush the process, or if you press too hard, the drill pad can occasionally leave minor hazing or buffer trails that require a final hand buff to correct. It’s a powerful tool, but it demands respect and patience, which slightly contradicts the “Quik” labeling.Summary:This is the best DIY solution on the market for erasing light scuffs and perfecting a finish. It provides professional-level results for swirls and minor clear coat damage. Just remember that true, deep scratches are best left to a body shop, or tackled with careful, repeated effort using this kit.

It says fine scratches, that’s what it does.
Someone slid a suitcase across the roof of our car. It took some of the scratches out but only the fine ones. It did remove fingernail scratches from the door handle area, and other “fine” scratches. Don’t expect miracles. If you have bigger, deeper scratches get some polishing compound for removing “actual” scratches, and a buffer, not this kit.It works, and the advertising is correct, but I had a tiny bit higher expectation from a Maguiar product.Also if you have a battery powered drill it will eventually overheat and stop working for a while. Before the battery goes dead.

Impressed, surpassed expectations!
The product removed years-old scuffs and scratches down the sides of our car. It drastically minimized some deeper scratches where only the faintest mark is visible upon close inspection. It only failed to remove one deep scratch which, as another reviewer posted, was deep enough to catch my fingernail. This product surpassed our expectations. The buffer drill attachment, included in the kit, made the process fast and easy.

For how much I paid, this is a great product! It was very easily to use with our cordless drill and removed the white paint with minimal effort- took maybe 5 minutes and it was all gone!You definitely can see that there is still a scratch where the paint was before, but of course a product like this isn’t going to be able to get deeper scratches out. I had debated taking it to a body shop, but figured I would try this instead to see if there would be any improvement after use- and it made the scratch look significantly less noticeable! So overall, very happy I purchased this! Would definitely recommend if you are looking to remove paint transfer or light surface-level scratches!
