Does Thermacup turn off automatically?
Yes, Thermacup turns off when it detects no liquid or the battery is depleted. Thermacup will automatically return to previous setting when liquid is added, or the mug is re-charged.
Can I leave my mug on the charger overnight?
Yes! It’s perfectly safe to store your mug on the coaster so that it maintains a full charge. The mug will automatically go into stand-by mode and be ready for you to pour liquid in the next day.
How do I turn it off?
You may turn the mug off entirely for travel or storage by pressing and holding the power button. If the mug has been turned off, you will need to make sure it’s charged, and press the power button to turn on before next use.
Can I put Thermacup in the microwave or dishwasher?
Thermacup has a built-in battery and stainless steel construction, so is not made for the microwave or dishwasher. Please make sure to hand wash only.

Nice mug – a little splurge for my workday.
Great mug! I wanted to wait a few months before reviewing the mug in case of any malfunctions, etc. I have used the mug almost daily, usually on the resting on the charger in my home office upstairs. It holds the temperature well, keeping my tea at my preferred level. It feels well-made & heavy, without visible seams. The control indicator lights on the lower front of the cup are easy to see & the LED dot lights up to indicate the level of temperature control in use – this is accomplished by use of a single button on the lower side of the cup, so it’s relatively simple.Only a few minor complaints: the sliding mechanism on the lid doesn’t come off/out easily & liquid gets caught underneath. I don’t think the lid was included, but considering that the lid helps prevent rapid heat loss & reduces the risk of spills, I bought it. Also, it’s important to take care while handwashing (yes, you must handwash or this will be a regular mug after the first stint in the dishwasher) to avoid getting the electrical charging contact on the bottom wet. Finally, it’s a bit of a hassle to carry the charging cord/cup charging plate with me but that’s more of a “me” issue than the device because it is designed to stay warm by itself for several hours (the liquid needs to be at temperaturewhen filling – it is not really intended to increase the heat of the liquid), but I would definitely be interested in purchasing an optional 2nd charger so I could set the cup back to charge in the kitchen when finished for the day rather than dragging it upstairs & back down again. I looked at another heated cup system, but at twice the cost with some quality control issues, I decided to take a chance on this one & glad that I did.

Perfectly hot and durable
If you’re the type of person to make a cup or coffee or tea then forget about it until it’s gone cold, you’ll love this. The cup keeps your drink hot until you’re ready for it. My wife loves it, since she tends to drink her tea slowly. Multiple settings allow you to keep your drink at the temperature you want (hotter kills the battery quicker). Recharges quickly. Wish it was dishwasher safe, but that’s just nit-picking, considering it’s electronic. Overall, very happy after a year of use.

Keeps stuff hot. Has some functionality issues
This heated cup does a really good job of doing what it’s supposed to do… keeping what’s in the cup warm, or hot. It has 5 heat settings and I normally use the 3rd level and that’s almost too hot. The handle for the mug is pretty comfortable but it could be a little wider to be more stable. The mug is heavy. I tried carrying it around on my 2-mile dog walk and it was noticeably uncomfortable. It takes longer than I would have expected for it to charge – a couple hours and the battery life, for me, has not been anywhere near the advertised 8 hours. It’s been more like 2-3 hours. You also have to hold down the power button for longer than instructions say to get it to turn off. Once you realize that, it’s no problem.

Keeps beverages at a constant warm/ hot temperature .
Performs as advertised. Coffee remains at a great temperature for at least 30 minutes. Has a nice feel although Not well balanced, need to hold mug while drinking . Easy to set and adjust drinking temperature . I also own an Ember cup without cautions for charging . The Thermacup needs to be dry due to the exposed charging port on the base.

So pleased with this product that we ordered another!
We were so impressed with this product that we ordered another! We purchased this product for a relative – and we liked it better than the two similar mugs that we already had. Be aware that the heating element is embedded within the mug itself; the platform under the mug as shown in the Amazon illustration is for charging only. The mug has five temperature settings in 10F degree increments: 110F, 120F, 130F, 140F and 150F. The mug heating element shuts off when the battery level or the fluid level is too low. It does take a while to fully charge the mug, but it does seem to have a reasonable battery life. One of the nicest features of this particular product that places it above many competitors, is the clear tactile feedback it provides when you are selecting the mug settings. No issues with inadvertently changing settings or even turning the mug off due to an overly sensitive touch control button. It is a real pleasure to have your morning (or anytime) coffee remain warmed to your liking for hours!Overall, we are well pleased with this product and would highly recommend it!

Built to last…. 33 days
Most important first:A few days past return window, the cup separated at the top seam, and a piece of cotton(?) popped out. This cup never saw a sink, much less a scrub brush. I washed by hand, with my hand daily.Problem 2? the first week, there was crumbly, waxy (or soft plastic?) beads on the inside of the cup after every morning- I rubbed it with my fingers to get it off every day until it stopped- . I probably should’ve stopped drinking it on the first day, but I assumed it was food grade materials and wouldn’t hurt me. It did finally stop doing that though. In the good side- it works well. The battery last a couple of hours on the medium setting, long enough to drink 3 cups slowly in the morning. It is really bright red, which I like for matching the decor. It remembers your heat setting every morning. It starts on its own without needing user input- a good thing when I just wake up and can barely think. It is bigger than I expected- much heavier too%%- that is probably all battery weight, but it gives it a quality feel.

Needs auto off and vent hole on lid
Lots of heat settings, battery lasts ~half the work day on the middle setting when off the docking station. I appreciate the lid that closes, but it has no vent hole so take caution while wearing white. Also, there’s no auto off.

Nice hot cup of coffee
Works exactly as described. Battery lasts about an hour. Practically I only put in 10 oz. 12 fills it right to the top.
