The item arrived well packaged in a strong box with layers of styrofoam. The ceramic pot was exactly the size I needed and was very heavy. Unfortunately, when attempting to put the stand together, my husband had to take a rasp to get the pieces to fit as it was not routed out correctly. I really like the appearance of this stand as it has a mid century modern vibe to it. As expensive as this stand and pot was, it seems as if it should not have required extra work to put the stand together. That being said, I really like this pot and stand and am taking off one star for the extra work required to get the stand to properly fit together. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
