Perfect for Pantry Storage!
I originally bought these IRIS USA File Boxes to use for files, but they’ve turned out to be amazing for pantry storage. The size is perfect for organizing bulk items like pasta, rice, snacks, and baking supplies. The lids snap on securely, keeping everything fresh and dust-free, and I love that they’re clear enough to easily see what’s inside without opening them.They stack really well, which helps maximize space in my pantry, and when not in use they nest neatly so they don’t take up room. Slightly damaged during shipping
The containers are as described. Very useful. Two of the 4 were damaged during shipping but are still usable. I’m not going to return them, it’s too much trouble.

I use it to store my craft materials and have been very pleased with it.Specifically, I love that the containers are clear, making it easy to immediately see what is stored inside.I have no idea why this product continues to receive mixed reviews, as it has been extremely useful for my needs.

OK for file storage, but don’t expect them to be resilient. Read warning about shipping!
I have purchased several batches of these for a purpose other than file storage. If all you need them for is to keep your tax return info, that you only access once in a blue moon, they should be fine for that. If not read on.My use case is to transport 14″ laptops to classrooms. They are a perfect size for that because I haul the laptops around in neoprene sleeves for protection, and they just fit in the boxes. I pack them into a vehicle, stack them in a cart, haul them into class, return them to the vehicle, then repeat about 3 times a week. I’m not too rough with them, but they last about 12 months before I they need to be replaced. Usually, the lids crack, or the box base cracks. It seems like, as time has gone on, IRIS has made them thinner and reduced the quality of the plastic from which they are molded. Generally, I accept that because they are water resistant, minimize wasted space, stack well, and I try to buy them on sale when less than $6 each. Although I continue to buy them, I only rate them as a 3 star: quality could be a lot better.Be aware that in the case of “sold and shipped by Amazon”, Amazon does a poor job of packaging for shipment. As you can see from the photos, one of my 2 most recent shipments arrived broken, even though the box was not significantly damaged. One problem is that these things shatter easily with a slight impact. The major contributing factor, though, is Amazon ships them out without any additional packing, just in the boxes provided by IRIS. Check out my photo of the box – the cardboard is very thin, and not really suitable as a sole shipping container. There is a high likelihood that your order may be received damaged.

A Favorite Purchase
I bought my first IRIS File Box a few years ago for my home files. I got it at Joann’s I think. I love it because my files are already packed for a move which has happened. So now I needed a 2nd file storage and had to have the exact same because they are perfect, great quality & easy for an old woman to carry & store.

Slightly brittle plastic.
I am a huge fan of clear plastic tubs for storage. I decided to try IRIS because of the special price. I still love my IRIS carts and drawer sets from years ago.I immediately noticed that the plastic used in constructing these is more brittle than I am use to. (I used to touch them in person before buying, but the office store nearby closed.) Sadly one case arrived damaged in transit. Two tubs sustained significant damage & were unusable. They broke off in shards in the case. I don’t blame IRIS for this, I am just suggesting that there would have been less damage if the material had a bit more flexibility to it. It also made me less confident that they would hold up as well to stay waterproof over time or if they happened to be the bottom box in a stack of two. I need tubs for years worth of records. While these may well be ideal for many purposes, I think I need more versatility. I do still like the Iris brand for other purposes.

Ordered these to create the school keepsake trend for my boys as we have 3 kids and BOXES of old school stuff. We need to start getting rid of stuff and slimming down and loved the idea of this trend. These bins were perfect size to accommodate the files and seems like there will be ample space for the boys to add each year. Love that they are stackable. I tried locking the lid of 2 and that part wasn’t the best but was sufficient esp if stacking them. They feel sturdy and durable for the years to come.
