Controller and power adapter are not waterproof
The controller and power adapter should not be installed outdoors and need to choose a dry place.
Why do not we suggest the 5m connect 5m?
A white controller box has 2 outputs, every output allows 1 reel of 5m to connect it respectively, that is why the 10m kit has 2 reels of 5m rather than 5m connect 5m or 1 reel of 10m.
When you connect more strip lights, be aware that this also applies to the connectors and all wiring between the power supply and the LED strip as well. you may already have lost some voltage before the signal even reaches the LED strip! you will find the top will less bright. Almost all of the customers think it is defective, but it is a normal phenomenon.

Very good long lasting!
They are a great product. I got these for a friend because he didn’t have any form of light in his room other than his very bright bedroom light and I would stay over and he’d turn them on in the middle of the night and blind me so these are definitely 10x better! 😂 I love that they have different dimness settings. They are very easy to use as long as the box is out in the open and not covered. He’s had them for a couple months now and they’re still working great! My other friend got these same ones and she’s had hers for years and they’re still working still work so they have a very long life. They’re easy to set up and stay connected well. I haven’t tried them outdoors so I don’t know whether they work well outside or not, but they have a rubber piece over the lights do they seem like they’d work well outdoors. They are a great value for what you get and I’m quite impressed.

Test ALL colors before putting them up!
I tested the strips before I put them up and they all worked in Red. I put them in place and ran through a few colors only to discover half of the strip did not work in Blue and in purple, that same half of the strip was red.Edit.. I contacted customer service and they were prompt to resolve my issue. My 5 star rating if for the customer service that I experienced.

Light string works well with some limitations.
I received the LED lights in a timely manner, and everything advertised was in the box and packaged securely. The lights work very well, and the remote provides multiple lighting options, it was one of the best prices for this type of set. Sadly, I ordered this set to replace a much shorter set that had stopped lighting. This meant I had to cut one string to length which worked just fine for my purpose but now over 1/3 of this light string is unusable. The only other issue is now I have one whole string that works just fine, but I don’t have an additional control so it will just sit in the box unused. It would be great if it was possible to order the second control separately.

The Day Better kit worked for me though I will add a few tips I learned that helpEd me that may help future buyers .1) if you don’t need IP65 waterproof where you are installing them, consider Getting regular strips… the Silicon has tended to make my very simple indoor van installation quite a royal pain with the available connectors out there.. I used the waterproof not because it was outdoors but it was running near roof cavity’s that do potentially sweat In outdoor temp changes etc or fingers grab looking for things and dust accumulation Etc to cause problems which the silicone protects against but in my case if I had it to do over I would try the the sturdiest non waterproof set available as the connector kits out there are much more plug and play and unless you’re installing a lot of these and don’t mind buying large kits of spare parts to have around for troubleshooting options and creative installs it gets expensive trying to make a basic install work and get good connections with these waterproof strips if you are turning corners or needing wire runs to different sections of light strip.2) if you estimate you need the 16ft kits get the 32 ft at least… trust me in experienced in electrical and finicky installs and some of the connections go smooth and work like candy but suddenly when you start cutting and recurring strips because your piercing style connectors are junk , you need more strip to go through until you get experienced.3) if you want bright light go with the more lights per inch strips.. I wanted to save overall amp draw and only needed mood/ambience so I got the less lights per inch.. but it has dimmer settings… so unless you know you only want mood brightness get the denser lit strip and turn it up and down you will have more bright light capabilities.3) take care to cut the ends perfect. The ends being even make all the difference inside the connections4) if using the strip to 4 wire harness piercing style connectors, use an electrical tester at each leg/each side of every connection you make. Leave the strip end coming from the controller connection on and connect to the strip then test the lead end side of the connectors to make sure you have voltage. Then connect section of wire and test the wire end before connecting to another section of light strip test the far side of the connector where the next strip is going.. with the lights on then you will often get a connection just by touching the strip end to the connector.5 ) on connectors. You will go through so many connectors getting good fits on the piercing variety for waterproof strips get plenty.Tips others have posted about , helps to use a spare connector to pierce your wires and sometimes your strip first so you don’t damage or wear out a connector that you intend to be permanently in the circuit…I even cut a little bit of light strip with wire on it to use as the tester and pre piercing connector when connecting a set of wires to a strip end.Pulling on the wire a bit helps to make a good connection at times. Be very meticulous cutting the ends of the connectors.Finally for strip to strip or strip to wire connectors consider getting the kind made to slip under the prongs that’s are more designed for the non waterproof kind but some say waterproof because they will house the raised curve of the silicone when closed but the connection method is the same as non waterproof strips and is non piercing.. you simply have to work the end where you’ve cut the strip like you’re peeling the adhesive but instead you gently get the silicone to lift off the backing tape that is the circuit and expose the contacts and slip that under the connector tongs and let the silicone come back down and close the connector.. possibly wire solder the other end if you want a strip to wire connection… although for a novice soldering it wouldn’t be easy..Basically don’t get waterproof ones unless you have a lot of extra strip to work with and ruin or unless you really need the waterproof kind…Maybe consider inventing a better strip to wire connector for these waterproof strips because they are all junk!Hope this helps.

Cheaply made/break easily
These are complete garbage. I’ve used many different led strip lights over the years and these are the poorest quality of the bunch. The adhesive barely sticks to the paper it comes on, and the lights can literally be ripped apart with minimal force. Don’t even consider cutting and using common connectors, because the contacts are terrible. I would only use these for a one time event and if you’re looking for a cheap pop. Unfortunately, I bought them with plans to use them for Halloween and Christmas, but they didn’t make it through the first holiday, and now I can’t return them. Overall, a truly regrettable purchase.
