To USB or not to USB
I gave away all my Big Boy tools when I moved into a retirement home but bought this drill/driver for use in my apartment. Perfect tool! I was confused however by the charger setup. The manual advised to try and keep the drill fully charged and even recommended charging after every use. After a few trial runs I hooked up the charger following the old rule, RIB. (Read The Instruction Book).The Book described the charger as having a micro-USB connection to the drill and flashing green lights (plural) somewhere that turn solid when charging complete. AC plug on the other end. I think it says you can use a USB/USB setup.My drill had a conventional charging cord with an AC plug on one end and a round male connection to the drill on the other The Book said a full charging would take one hour from a fully discharged condition.There was one red light on the drill handle when I plugged it in. I expected it to charge in something less than an hour per IB/PL (Instruction Book and Parts List). After six hours the red light was still on and I began to wonder if it was already fully charged, still charging or defective. I solved the problem by initiating a return phone call procedure with Black & Decker support. This of course caused the light to go out. I never heard back from B&D but assume the drill is now fully charged and this charging procedure is normal. We’ll see.I’m also curious if I have the latest version of the drill and old IB/PL or old version of the drill and new IB/PL.

I bought this for myself. As a female I didn’t want anything heavy or bulky. This drill is the perfect size and weight. It’s very easy to operate and the best part is that it’s wireless. The battery holds its charge for months. 10/10 recommend!

Great for small projects , hobby work, and light woodworking.
When you don’t want to pull out the big guns , this is an amazing alternative. Small, lightweight yet it still gets the job done. Assembling IKEA furniture w/out damaging it, small woodworking projects, computer cases , hanging pictures … it’s the right tool for the job. Not suggested for heavyweight projects — not because it will fall apart, it just doesn’t have the power. Hobby and crafters will love this, as I do.

Need more instructions/detail
This is my first time ever purchasing or using a drill of any sort so my review may be a little uninformed. The product is definitely very lightweight and decent for the price. When it comes to ease of use, however, I am stumped. For this to be marketed as beginner friendly, there is very little help in terms of instructions. I’m having to google and youtube a lot. Mostly I would like to know what size the screws are that come with the drill so that I know which drill bit size to use. I guess they just expect purchases to know certain things already, like which direction you drill for certain projects. Idk I just need a little more description and instruction in order for me to deem this “easy to use”.

I was expecting this to be junk, but for a little drill to hang pictures or assemble furniture, it works really well. Don’t expect to build a deck or do construction with it, but for what it’s intended it works.It’s small, light and perfect for anything you’d need in an apartment.
