Sturdy Stand with Some TradeoffsI’ve been using the BESIGN LS10 Aluminum Laptop Stand, and it does a solid job at what it’s meant to do. The aluminum build is sturdy and stable—I don’t feel like my laptop is going to wobble or slide off, which is a big plus. It also folds flat, which makes it easier to tuck away when not in use.On the ergonomic side, the adjustability is a nice touch. Raising the screen does take some pressure off my neck, especially during long sessions. However, the adjustment mechanism feels a little stiff, which makes changing the angle less smooth than I’d like.The footprint is compact and works well for 10–14 inch laptops, but it’s worth noting that if you use something on the larger side, or if you type heavily while the laptop is on the stand, there can be a slight bounce. I mostly use an external keyboard and mouse, so it hasn’t been an issue for me.One small thing to keep in mind: the aluminum edges are fairly sharp. Not dangerously so, but if you’re moving it around often, you’ll notice it.Bottom line: A sturdy, portable stand that does its job well for smaller laptops and external keyboard setups. Just expect some stiffness in the adjustments and a bit of bounce with heavier typing.

Gold tone is very orange
The stand is nice overall. Seems sturdy and holds laptop well. It’s extremely stiff and not easy to adjust- that probably prevents it from lowering on its own. The reason I give it 3 stars is the gold tone isn’t true gold and doesn’t look like the pictures (at least not on my screen). It’s very orange and would be better described as rose gold. It’s even more orange than the photo I provided. Now I have to return which is a hassle.

I was fed up when I left the review beneath and was going to return it. I decided to keep it for my iPad. Since it’s such a low rating, I figured it was worth an update to the review. I didn’t want an iPad stand. I wanted it for my laptop.I try to only leave positive reviews. If it’s not quite right for me but is otherwise a great product, I don’t knock off stars but I say it in the review, which I rarely bother to review. After about 4 weeks it has stopped holding my laptop securely w/o constantly sagging if I touch the laptop- like to push the power button. I’m writing this review only b/c the description claimed that it would work for a 15” laptop. It doesn’t. I’m still in the Amazon-return window & will be sending it back. If you need an external keyboard it could be ok for iPads etc. but if you’re planning on using the system keyboard, I wouldn’t recommend it.Prior ReviewI saw a YT video about resolving neck pain. I’d never understood “ergonomics” before. Essentially sitting w/shoulders, neck, elbows, knees at 90 degree angles stacked vertically. The monitor needs to be at eye level. I like using my laptop w/another monitor. It’s hard to get that set and set your elbows at 90 degrees to the keyboard. But Boy Howdy, when you do, it’s great. I thought I always needed a lumbar pillow. Turns out it’s just getting everything aligned.This product allows me to do that. I now work from home & at an office so I need 2 laptop stands. The one I had wasn’t made of aluminum & is really rugged, but hard to adjust & expensive. So I tried this one. I have a 15” laptop which is pretty heavy. But it is staying firm. However it is aluminum & has bounce to it so you need a separate keyboard. My other one has no bounce so I didn’t need the external keyboard. Now that I figured that out I have been really pleased w/the setup & have had no neck/shoulder/back stain at the end of an 8-hour day.

This thing is worth its weight in gold, better than most competition.
1. It is NOT solid aluminum. The plates are made from the high quality lightweight aluminum composite panel material with polymer core (middle layer) and very thin aluminum outside layers, painted in the color you pick. 2. The pivots are ADJUSTABLE, i.e., the torque (the EFFORT) needed to change the shape of the stand can be varied widely. There is a 4mm Allen-style wrench included. Use it to add tension, or to loosen the pivots — it is all up to you. 3. The beauty of the pivots is that they DO NOT COME LOOSE over time. This is important. 4. Detach the upper platen by removing the screws plus the plastic washers and turn the platen around in its own plane. Re-attach the washers and the screws, tighten them as before and … you are now the owner of a tall handy BOOK STAND. For a cook book, if that is your thing, of sheet music. An awesome device. Other competing models most often lack adjustability of the pivots. This thing is worth its weight in gold.

Sturdy and reliable stand! Would like better rubber on the bottom.
This stand is fantastic for my drawing tablet. Takes a little strength to change the angle, which is deal for this kind of thing. I use a heavy tablet and this stand handles it no problem. It’s a quality metal that really does make a difference.My only wish is that the “anti-slip” material at the bottom actually did prevent slippage. I have to move my mouse pad out of the way to use the stand, and even then it doesn’t totally stay put on my wood desk. I prefer some reliance in positioning when drawing.Otherwise a fantastic stand, a steal for the price! Bonus points for looking great in my setup as well.
