Water based, will it work with grease fires?
It’s a fire extinguisher, and no I have not tried it, nor do I want to be in a situation to have to try it. Yes, it’s water based, which I question on how it would work on oil based fires (water usually makes the situation worse). That said, this is a perfect size for my small 1960’s era camper trailer and has a nifty mount to keep everything tidy. I do have to be careful and I will have to bring the fire extinguisher into the house during the winter as my area does get the negative temperatures, with every year having periods of -40. Being water based, I don’t think it would survive those conditions. Other than that, this is a single use extinguisher, and I’m ok with that. It is for emergency use only, so at that point I will not care if it can’t be refilled… it just needs to work when I need it. The bottom of the extinguisher does have the manufacturing date along with the expiration date, which is helpful.

Works on almost all kinds of fires
This review is for “1 Pack Fire Extinguisher for Home, Kitchen, Car, and Grill,Ompact Water-Based A, B, C, K Extinguisher…”.I did a little research, and learned that ABCK fire extinguishers are effective on oil/grease fires, as well as more common general fires, electrical fires, and liquid fires, even if the extinguisher is water-based. They aren’t the *best* for grease fires, but they work on small ones although there is a risk of splashing. I won’t remember which extinguishers are good on which classes of fires (or even what a “class of fire” is) in an emergency, but knowing it now I can put a clear, simple sign on each of mine to save valuable seconds if the time ever comes. It’s extremely helpful to know I can put this one anywhere, including in the kitchen, and it will be effective.It’s hard to know for sure how well this extinguisher will operate, but I can say that it looks and feels professional and well-made. The instructions are clear, and it fits into its mounting rack well and is easy to remove in a hurry. My only concern is that you can’t have this extinguisher refilled, so after a single use it will need to be disposed of, which means finding a recycling facility or fire station that will accept it. Which you will be able to do because you didn’t catch on fire.

I haven’t had to use this in an emergency situation yet, BUT – my local fire department approved! I snagged this to keep in my craft room, where I have a few fire hazards like a 3D printer, a glue gun station, a soldering station, and an iron set up. I was worried it might not be sufficient, so I took it to my local fire department and had them take a look. They said it’s definitely a good snag, and that the size and uses should fit well for my needs. They showed me a general presentation of how it should be used, which wasn’t really necessary – the instructions are clearly printed on the extinguisher. Overall, it’s good quality, doesn’t weigh a ton (so it’s easy to grab in a hurry) and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Definitely worth grabbing.

Compact enough to fit just about anywhere
I got this fire extinguisher to keep under my kitchen sink for peace of mind. It is very compact and therefore fits under the sink easily and doesn’t take up much room. It comes with a nice mounting bracket if you plan to hang it up. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. It was economical as well.I read that water mist fire extinguisher are a superior kind to have for most home applications including an electrical fire and the contents are non toxic.
