A Demonstration Video Would Be Helpful
I like that this Fire Extinguisher is good for A, B, C, and K types of fires, since I want to have it near my gas BBQ grill for grease fires, which would be type K. The bracket holds the extinguisher quite securely and ready for use. I plan to mount it with some sheet metal screws to the base of my grill.I was not previously familiar with this type of Water Based Extinguisher, with Nitrogen being the driving gas, but I saw some videos of what ‘appeared’ to be the same kind of extinguisher, and it looked effective on grease fires. I really think this product listing should at least have a video showing how it works on these types of fires. Mere assumption is not totally satisfactory for emergency equipment like this.At first I was concerned that the black container might be a problem when one is looking for a traditionally red fire extinguisher, but the label wording and graphics make it clear enough, I think. In an emergency I think it will be recognized immediately.All in all, I think this is probably a very good product, but to actually test it is to ruin it’s future usefulness. I would have given it 5-stars if there was a convincing demonstration video in the product listing.

Good Secondary Backup but NOT a Primary Extinguisher
As a volunteer firefighter, I need to be crystal clear that you should use this strictly as a secondary unit and never as your primary defense. Despite the product description claiming it is UL Listed, there is absolutely no UL logo or certification mark anywhere on the canister itself. It appears to have a 3C listing which is a Chinese standard that does not equate to US safety regulations for primary life-safety devices. The extinguishing agent is S-100-AB which is a water-based foam that works by smothering and cooling rather than chemically interrupting the fire like a standard dry chemical unit. While this means it won’t corrode your engine or electronics like dry powder will, I am extremely skeptical of the Class K kitchen rating. Spraying any water-based agent on a grease fire carries a serious risk of popping and splashing burning oil even if it is a foam. The ease of use is slightly different than standard units because it uses a black plastic trigger guard instead of a metal pin so you need to familiarize yourself with it before an emergency. After that the functionality is the same as a traditional dry extinguisher. The build quality and weight are perfectly fine for a car kit, but do not rely on this to save your house. Size of the unit is great though, mounts well and looks ok although would not be obvious to someone to use in an emergency since it’s not visually obvious as an extinguisher. Decent unit for the cost.
