This fire extinguisher is VERY…solid? I don’t know what I was expecting, but it’s real…and impressive…and it’s WAY heavier and bigger than I expected it to be. I’m happy to say I can’t say how well it works or how easy it is to use. In fact, I hope this doesn’t render my review useless, but as you can probably tell…I’ve never used a fire extinguisher before. I can’t honestly say I even remember TOUCHING a fire extinguisher (except for those small ones that are about the size of a can of hairspray), so holding this REAL fire extinguisher briefly brought my illusion of invulnerability to a screeching halt. And then made me feel a little better that we now have it in the house.I know very little about fire safety, and absolutely nothing about fire extinguishers (obviously)…oh wait…I did learn in a safety meeting at work one time that you’re supposed to aim the fire extinguisher at the base of the fire and move your arm back and forth. Anyway, back to me knowing nothing…when we got this, my husband figured this little tidbit out, so he taught me exactly how to use it in case the need would ever arise. Right after he expressed how much he hopes that time will never come. I hope so too.Recommend.
